This may be the first and last time that we can say one of our speakers has something in common with Doogie Howser, MD. Sort of. Ben Sanders had his first paid illustration commission when he was 12, and has been working solidly ever since. His illustration style draws inspiration from nostalgic mid-century advertising art, and after working in the ad industry for years, he understands both sides of the process. With a slew of editorial and commercial clients under his belt, Ben's children's book 'Uncle Ivan,' published by Thames and Hudson, is the latest feather in his cap.
